Maple Heights City Schools and Cleveland Clinic School-Based Health Care Mobile Unit

Maple Heights City Schools and the Cleveland Clinic School-Based Health Care Mobile Unit
At the Welcome Back event, the Maple Heights City School District students started their school year off by receiving snacks, portion plates, exercise bands, and helmets from one of the district’s community partners, the Cleveland Clinic, to kick-off year-long School-Based Health Care Mobile Unit.

The School-Based Health Center is a mobile service that offers a full-service pediatric office staff with healthcare professionals. The mobile unit will visit the Maple Heights community regularly throughout the school year to provide care.  This year, the Cleveland Clinic Mobile Service will also offer our community flu shots and vaccinations against COVID-19.   COVID-19 vaccinations for students 12 and older will be a priority, but school staff and adults in the community will also have the opportunity to receive the vaccine.

If students register with the Cleveland Clinic Mobile Service, they should require care during non-school hours; Cleveland Clinic’s primary care physician can see them virtually during regular business hours. Parents can access this through MyChart online or through their mobile devices.

Registration is required to receive the COVID-19 vaccinations on the School-Based Health Care Mobile Unit.  All registration must go through Cleveland Clinic; there are three easy ways to register and obtain an appointment.
