Welcome from the Principal
Greetings ECAC Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I have the pleasure and honor of being your partner in your child's education. We are now in the fifth week of school, and my students are working harder than ever before. They have shown us that education is important by exceeding our expectations. Fifty-one percent of our students have gone over and beyond the expected pacing! That amazing! It is evident to us that our students are focused on meeting their academic goals. Students are displaying their Mustang P.R.I.D.E each day they come to school focused on accomplishing their aspirations.
The students' collective Mustang P.R.I.D.E. is a reflection of their parents' encouragement and guidance. We appreciate each one of you for partnering with us by attending meetings or checking in by phone. Together, our students are going to excel!
Unfortunately, we are still in a pandemic which means that we must follow the recommended Covid -19 safety procedures. Everyone must wear masks at all times and 3 feet physical distancing. Masks are available to students if they do not have one. Please keep your child at home if they are not feeling and call the school at 216-587-6100 ext 3107 to let us know that they will not be in school.

Important Reminders & Procedures
The first day of school is Monday, August 16th, 8 AM-11 AM or 11:30 AM-2:30 PM. If you have not secured your session, please contact Mrs. Tarorick at 216-587-6100 ext. 3307 or email her at email@example.com. We ask that students come to school daily on time, prepared to do their best. If you miss a day, you miss a lot.
Safety and Security: As you know, student safety is a high priority at ECAC. Therefore, we will continue to implement our safety and security guidelines. We follow the Board of Health COVID 19 safety procedures, and masks are worn at all times. Our campus will continue to be locked and fully secured in the interest of safety and security for students and staff. We will provide students with a clear book bag. This book bag is the only bookbag allowed into ECAC. Students must be responsible for keeping their belongings with them at all times. Book bags and purses are checked daily.
Transportation: If you live on the east side of Maple Heights, a school bus is available to transport students from the main campus to ECAC. Pick-up is at 7:45 AM and 11:15 AM by the auto tech, and drop-off is approximately 11:15 AM and 2:45 PM. Masks are worn at all times.
Breakfast and Lunch: Students have the option of receiving a grab-and-go bag breakfast or lunch on the way into the building. Food delivery is prohibited. Each student will take one food bag upon entering the building. They will have 20 minutes to eat their food (sharing is highly discouraged). After 20 minutes, the students will throw their trash away, sanitize their table, and put their masks back on. Unless there is written documentation, this will be the only time that students are allowed to eat. Food brought to school must be ready to eat. There is no microwave available, and food delivery is prohibited.
Chromebooks: Daily, the students will report to their advisory and be given a numbered Chromebook (their Chromebook every day). Their last class teacher will provide each student with a disinfectant wipe to clean their computer, and the students will put their Chromebook on charge in the cart.
Transitions and breaks: Halls will be marked with signage and arrows on each side, 6 feet apart on the same side, and diagonally across on the opposite side for physical distancing and safety. Classes will be dismissed one at a time, 1 to 2 minutes apart, by Mrs. Pames or her designee, and be lined up in the hall going clockwise. Students walk in the hall in the arrows’ directions (sticking to one side of the hall).
