Dear Maple Heights High School Families,
This is your principal, Dr. Markiel Perkins with an important announcement. The safety and security of our students and staff are of the utmost importance to us. As part of our continued efforts to enhance school security, the Maple Heights City School District will begin using X-ray scanner machines at the middle and high schools on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, to help ensure a safe learning environment for everyone. The machines will scan student book bags and other items while students walk through metal detectors.
The district aims to proactively enhance safety measures while maintaining an efficient student entry process. We appreciate your cooperation and support as we implement these new procedures intended to help protect everyone in our school community.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 216-438-6400 extension 1001 or at my email markiel.perkins@mapleschools.com. Thank you for working with us to promote a safe and positive environment for our students.
Also, February 17th scholars do not have school. Thank you so much, and have a great day!
Sincerely,
Dr. Markiel J. Perkins, Ed.D.
